Առլեզ (Arlez in Armenian)

Aramazd Stepanian, stage director, producer, actor, translator, publisher. Directing since 1979, professionally since 1986, after completing a Stage Directing course in London. Staged over one hundred theatre productions, including significant world premieres: Hagop Baronian's BAGHDASAR AKHPAR in English, Samuel Beckett's WAITING FOR GODOT in Armenian (1990), two of Aghasi Ayvazyan's masterpieces, three excellent works from Kariné Khodikyan, and even one from William Saroyan, BITLIS. Operated theatres in London and Los Angeles. Has published two collections of Armenian plays in English and two more are near completion. So far has translated over twenty plays by Armenian playwrights, in order to introduce the flourishing Armenian theatre literature to non-Armenian theatre lovers.
